IPTV World Forum lands in North America

The IPTV World Series is preparing for the latest addition to the calendar, the IPTV World Forum North America. This event is taking place in Chicago from 22 - 23 July, at the McCormick Place Convention Centre.

North America is expected to account for a large proportion of the world's new IPTV subscriptions during the next few years.

The conference will deal with the strategic and technical issues facing the deployment of IPTV in the region, and will use specific examples to demonstrate the varying methods used to overcome these. Confirmed speakers include: Jeff Weber, VP, Product & Strategy at AT&T; George O'Neal, VP Network Services, GVTC; Bill DeMuth, senior VP & CTO, Surewest Communications; Kelvin Shephard, president - Consumer markets, MTS Allstream; Joseph Ambeault, director of technology, TiVo; Mark Charkin, VP sales & advertising, Bebo.

Running alongside the 2-day conference is a free exhibition previewing the latest technology from some of the industries leading companies, including Ericsson, Tandberg Television, Ruwido, Verimatrix, Digisoft and Mitsubishi.
