Junger wins new fans in the Middle East
30 June, 2009 - 07:10Dynamics processing specialist Jünger Audio has made a number of significant sales in the Middle East, indicating that its LEVEL MAGIC technology for controlling the level and loudness of broadcast audio is providing broadcasters with a viable solution to an increasingly irritating problem.
Among those investing in LEVEL MAGIC are Al-Mehwar TV, Dream TV, The Rotana Group, Aamal TV, Al-Saeeda TV, the ERTU and OTV in Egypt; Showtime in the UAE; The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) Radio in Iran; Al Jazeera TV Group in Qatar; Al Watan in Kuwait and Jordan Media City.
Tamer Berry, chief engineer at Al-Saeeda TV - Nilesat, said: "The main problem we were addressing was balancing out the audio level of the transmitted material. The fact that the Jünger Audio b46 units we chose incorporate an audio processor helped us solve this issue in a very effective way."
His order, along with all of the other Egyptian sales, was handled by Jünger Audio's Egyptian distributor, Systems Design in Cairo.
"The majority of our television installations have featured the 4-channel Jünger Audio B46 unit, which has proved to be incredibly efficient at helping our customers control loudness and audio level," said Ahmed Gamal, managing director of Systems Design.
At OTV in Egypt, senior engineer Ahmed Samir Hamza has installed Jünger Audio B46 units in the playout master control room and in studios 3 and 4. "I chose this solution on the basis of previous good experiences with the Jünger Audio's products," he said. "The units are helping us to maintain the audio at a proper level and to recover the variable output from editing units. To date they have performed wonderfully and we are very happy with the results we are achieving."
