Miniweb appoints CEO

Miniweb, the interactive service provider that is enabling targeted, web-style advertising and interactivity on TV, has appointed Andrew Carver as its chief executive officer. The move is designed to further strengthen Miniweb's management team and drive its international growth.

Miniweb enables a converged broadcast and broadband entertainment experience that provides personalised web-style interactivity for TV viewers using a TV remote control. Miniweb's open standards and device agnostic platform enables the creation and delivery of interactive entertainment across multiple TV distribution networks and is already deployed in over 9 million homes.

James C. Allen, chairman of the Miniweb board, said: "To drive the growth and expansion of Miniweb, we need an experienced, international CEO with the strategic and commercial vision to lead our team. Andrew Carver brings a strong track record of senior management success in broadcast technology and IP (Internet Protocol) services.
