Phabrix expands Sx handheld range
4 February, 2010 - 07:55Phabrix will show its complete range of portable test and measurement instruments for the broadcast industry at this year's BVE. This includes the SxA with its combined toolset for generation, analysis and monitoring, the award winning eye and jitter SxE and now the new multi format SxD capable of delivering 350 different formats including dual link, 4:2:2 YUV, 4:4:4 RGB, and 4:4:4 YUV at 10/12.
Without doubt the star of the show is the Phabrix SxE with eye and jitter measurements for testing SD-SDI, HD-SDI and 3G-SDI, and its increasing popularity in the broadcast industry has resulted in over 300 units shipped since IBC 2009 - a mere 4 months.
For anyone involved with SMPTE compliant testing to laboratory level, the SxE answers the broadcast industry's wish list for a cost effective solution for high level testing. With measurements for amplitude, rise time, fall time, rise/fall time difference, rising edge overshoot, falling edge overshoot and cable length along with eye diagram and jitter thermometers, the SxE offers a degree of sophistication not previously thought possible on a hand held device. Outside broadcast facilities have been the first to see the potential of the instrument for cable testing and the combined toolset for generation, analysis and monitoring makes the SxE a perfect engineer's companion. Gone are the days struggling with a bench bound product.
BVE at Earl's Court in London is a perfect opportunity for visitors to meet on stand G46 to discuss their requirements with the developers of the Phabrix products and put the SxA, SxD and SxE through their paces.
