Upgraded Viz Video Hub version 2.0
12 November, 2009 - 09:55Vizrt has announced the introduction of the upgraded Version 2.0 of its Viz Video Hub plug-and-play asset management (MAM) system. Among other significant enhancements, Version 2.0 provides extended support for archiving through a Tape Robot feature. The Tape Robot support enables broadcasters to archive huge amounts of video assets directly within Viz Video Hub. And it can serve as a long-term storage solution because the Tape Robot hardware exchanges outdated tapes automatically.
ATSC mobile video system ready for deployment

14 October, 2009 - 07:55Fast Forward Video (FFV) has released a firmware upgrade and codec for its line of broadcast-quality digital video recorders that enables direct importing of JPEG2000.mov files into popular nonlinear editing (NLE) systems such as Final Cut Pro (FCP). With the upgrade, FFV becomes the first company to harness JPEG2000 technology for use in editing systems without requiring time-consuming and quality-compromised transcoding or rendering.
Phabrix achieves awards hat trick
